Osprey is a solo sailing campaign exploring the intersection of adventure, history, and deep-sea seamanship. Skippered by Chris Stanmore-Major, Osprey is a Grand Mistral 80 race yacht repurposed for high-endurance expeditions and offshore racing. The campaign is unfolding across multiple stages in 2025, with a focus on ancient civilizations, modern navigation, and personal storytelling.

The campaign begins with a solo Atlantic transit via the Azores, blending classic celestial navigation with an investigation into pre-modern ocean crossings and lost civilizations. From there, Osprey will compete in the 2025 Fastnet Race with a mixed crew of veterans and sponsors.

Following the Fastnet, the boat will voyage from Southampton to Malta, again focusing on cultural exploration and ancient seafaring legacies along the European coastline. Once in the Mediterranean, Osprey will participate in the Middle Sea Race before heading toward Egypt to study the legacy of the pyramids and Nile maritime traditions.

Later in the year, the route continues toward the Canary Islands and onward to a transatlantic crossing, maintaining the theme of ancient navigation, ocean passage, and solo challenge.
